London Adventure: Granger & Co.

The most amazing food I have ever eaten! Located in Notting Hill, London, UK. I first read about this restaurant when researching places to dine while on vacation in London. This was a little on the far side of London from where we were staying, however we woke early on Thursday and went for breakfast before a day of shopping on Oxford street...

Tucked in Notting Hill, a glance at this little place and you might just walk right on past, the smell however inside is captivating..

Below we have the largest breakfast Holly and I have even had, we shared everything.. starting at the top we have Toasted Coconut Bread with butter, to the bottom right we have Banana Chocolate Bread with fresh Ricotta, then to the left we lastly have Ricotta Hotcakes with fresh banana and honeycomb butter.

This below is the Full Aussie Breakfast, featuring Granger's famous scrambles eggs (which were the best eggs I have even eaten in my life, no lie here!), sourdough toast, bacon, roasted tomatoes, chipolatas(homemade sausages), and mushrooms. This was amazing!!!

Internationally renowned, New York Times Christened Bill Granger as the 'Egg Master', very true in my opinion. This little hidden gem was very nice on the inside with a very helpful and welcoming staff. We did have a few question, such as "What are chipolatas..?" Our waiter was very helpful and told us what they were and that we would love them, he was right! I feel in love with the mushrooms, eating all of them, Holly not so much liking mushrooms. These were sweet almost and so filling.

Leaving on a jet plane..

In about 48 hours I will be leaving Chicago's Midway Airport and heading to Boston, from there, will be going to London! This trip has been planned for only a couple of months, it has crept up on us, Holly and I, and we cannot wait! London and Paris, in the matter of nine days! Meeting friends, seeing all of the amazing sights and indulging ourselves in the arts that is the West End, and plenty of shopping! A flat was rented and we have our walking boots ready, the city is going to be ours.. on the agenda, everything!

All of which are my current favorites!

Never say I will never be...

Sometimes you have to look things right in the face and accept it for what it is..

I am heather..
I have red hair..
I am a size 12..
I have gray eyes..
I am 26 years of age..
I have dreams..

These things are all facts of me...

I happen to love Heather, for who she is, attitude and cocky sense of humor and all..
I will never be able to hide this red hair, I have tried and I have learned to love it..
I have a larger frame and I will never be a size 2 or even 4 for that matter, but it's okay..
I happen to love my eyes, they change with what I wear or the mood I am in. Sometimes they are gray, green or even blue. Mostly though they are gray.
I am fast approaching 30 years of age, that alone is upsetting to me! More along the lines of what have I done, and what do I still want to do?
The dreams I have are ones I know I can accomplish. Just over the last two years I have done so much, I cannot wait to see what this next year is going to bring!

Heather's Bucket List.........

1. Write a book, a good one at that!
2. Become a amazing mother that provides for her family and is known for her love and care for those that matter to her the most!
*3. Make it to Forks, Washington to see cousin Tina! (And Edward Cullen!)
4. Sky Diving
5. Make it to Paris and London!!!
*6. Stop dying and cutting on my own hair and except my natural beauty.
*7. See the ocean!
8. Visit Boston, see New England's beauty!
9. Make it back to Washington D.C.
10. Learn how to speak French.
11. Finish my dedication tattoo's to those I love that have past!
*12. Learn to Surf. (Does falling a lot count)
*13. Get into shape!
*14. Ski on a mountain. (Broken toe)
*15. Airplanes, actually get on one.

* Already accomplished!
