My weight loss journey...

April 20 - June 29  =   -23lbs!

I feel like I should share this, whether or not some of your care, it's your own opinions! I have struggled with my weight almost all of my life, and at times I just didn't care and wanted to give up. With though, my health not being the best anymore, and illness running threw my family like wildfire, mainly Diabetes, it was time to take a stand on me. No pills or fad diets, a lifestyle change. The first thing I did was take out all soda and fruit juices. I loaded up on just water. It was so hard at first, I was addicted to Dr.Pepper! I stopped eating so much pasta and bread as well. Mostly salads of all kinds and whole wheat bread with veggies and meat. I cut out a lot of red meat and mostly eat turkey meat, such as Jennie O, and I love the Morning Star veggie burgers! They might sound gross but they are very good. I loaded up on vitamins in foods such as apples, bananas and fresh baby spinach! My go to juice blend.. Spinach, Celery and Apple, blend and add a little organic apple juice! I eat special K bars usually for breakfast and have healthy snacks threw out the day. My mind at first was telling me eat, your so hungry, or do not eat because if you eat you will never lose weight. It was a constant battle and in the end, food is not the enemy!!! I also started yoga and boxing as part of my lifestyle change, more recently weight lifting. I box for at least 30 min. four times a week. I realize I will never be a size 2, but thats okay in my book. You have to love who you are on the inside to make this kind of change in a healthy manner!

In this picture, which is not very good, I can't really tell I big difference, but trust me when I say I feel so much better! there is so much more change to come..

Love all of you who have supported me threw this and will continue to support me...

xoxo   Heather...

until next time.. where will I be two months from now?

My life in Washington, the journey wasn't a waste after all!

On Jan. 10, 2010 I flew out of St.Louis, MO. at the bright hour of 6am! I was full of excitement and nervous at the same time. I was making a move, 2.389 miles away to the little town of Forks, WA. To this day I still remember how I felt, words just cannot describe! Freedom and adventures awaiting. I never though I would miss home so much in my life...

My plane landed in Seattle, WA. and I was more than excited to go on that smaller plane, a seven seater, which I was in love with! My cousin who I was going to live with wasn't able to pick me up, so the sweetheart neighbor did. As we chatted I know she was laughing at me, why would anyone be excited about moving to little Forks. (This was not my first time hearing this either!) My cousin Tina was there to great me with open arms, and so my three month journey started! The unpacking of boxes, rearranging my room at least a million times the first week and spending time with my loves Linda, Katie and Clarene! I was getting settled and loved the beautiful snowy days we had the first few weeks, when the sun came out it literally looked like a snow globe outside! Getting to know my family, Tina and Nathan was the best out of all of the trip!

A snowy day in Forks, the sun was actually out...

By my third week I was busy, hanging out at the radio station during the day and church activities such as Winter Camp and Woman's Retreat. It was in Washington where my life started finally coming together and I really started seeing the bigger picture. I knew I was brought there for a reason, I was just wanting to know that reason so much and I demanded to know it right there at that moment. Time has a way of telling you to slow down and all will come to be in time... I was lacking that patience! God was teaching me a lesson...

La Push Beach...

Lake Creasent

Mt. Baker in Glacier, WA.

Youth Group on the Seattle Ferry...

Full Youth at Camp...

Skii time!!!

Mushroom Ravioli @ Pacific Pizza off of the Twilight Menu! Bahahaaa!!!

Going to the beach, spending time with the youth group and snuggling with my two kitties was good, but I really missed my family back at home! I stuck it out as long as I could and the memories. I lasted three months before I made the move home. It was worth it, I found out things were not so bad and I have to have my family in my life, that's just the way it's always going to be!

Nate and I, double trouble cousins!

I lived down the road from the 'Cullen' house... a.k.a The Miller Tree Inn!

 It really was Twilightville!!!
